Water Supply - Bishop J. I. Earl - Logandale Los Angeles, August 17, 1928 Mr. E. E. Cunningham: With reference to your letter of August 6, file 36, relative to furnishing of water to Bishop Earl from our supply at Logandale, Nevada, and in this connection quote below letter received from Mr. F. R. McNamee, under date of August 15th: "I have yours of Auguat 9th which makes refer-ence to General Manager's letter of August 8th relative to the above. I have not received a copy of the Manager's letter. The Railroad at present has no water available at Logandale. Proceedings are now pending before the State Engineer at Carson City to change the place and character of the use of the one share of preferred and one share of common water stock that the Railroad now owns in the Muddy Valley Irrigation Company for railroad proposes at St Thomas, for application and use for the section house and irrigation of approximately .70 acres of land at Logandale. I presume your inquiry refers to Overton where Bishop J. I . Earl resides, and any water furnished at that point should be under a formal agreement approved by the Public Service Commission of Nevada, and if you will kindly furnish me with Form 7-42 I will prepare and submit same for the approval of the Public Service Commission. In this connection will say that the water supply of Overton town is from the irrigating ditch and some of the inhabitants filter and impound in a cistern such water as they use for domestic purposes. From the information that I gathered from your f i l e , it would appear that Bishop Jones is now procuring water by the barrel from our cistern at Overton, and i f we agree to furnish one or more with water others are likely to request the same privilege, and we may get up against a disagreeable situation, for these are all good people and friendly with the Railroad." Please handle in line with Mr. McNamee's suggestion. cc- Mr. W. R. Bracken, W. R. ARMSTRONG, Mr. R. L. Adamson, Mr. Charles Adams
