system. Our two existing mains serve the central and northerly portions of the oity. The development of Lae Vegas has been and will continue to be in the southerly portion. To equalize pressures the new main must be so located to serve this southerly seotlon. In view of the need for a new main from production to the southerly portion of the city, rather than convey the water from the new well northerly to our present reservoir site, then return it southerly With expensive pumping, we now propose a new reservoir of 2 ,500,000 gallon capacity at the extreme southerly portion of our producing field, connecting thereto the adjacent new well and three nearby producing wells, with booster pumps and a new 2^-lnoh distribution line extending easterly along Charleston Blvd. to a connection with our existing distribution system in the southerly portion of the oity. This revised project will enable us to adequately care for the present and anticipated future wartime development in this community. We consider the project essential to protect the wartime demands of this important defense community. ?
