STATEMENT RE CAPPX OWENS I Heard about Cappy'a being hurt on Friday morning about 10:00 A. M. and accompanied by Mr. L. R. Maag went back to Gappy'a room (Room 20) and found him lying in bed. We explained to him that we felt it would be to his benefit to go to the hospital, to which he readily agreed and asked us to make the necessary arrangements . I then called Mercy Hospital for an ambulance, which came within ten minutes. We asked Gappy if he had any money, and he stated that it was in his pocket and that he would check it in at the hospital, as he had done this a number of times before when he had to be taken to the hospital due to illness. Mr. Maag then had the door of Room 20 locked and padlock applied so that the contents would remain untouched. Las Vegas - March 15, 195^ W 18-^ Charles iCoehl
