    SAN PEDRO, LOS ANGELES AND SALT LAKE RAILROAD COMPANY and to Mr. Bancroft's of January 21st, regarding rate to be charged Construction Department for the haul of gravel used in employees' cottages at Las Vegas, 40 ton capacity flat cars equipped with side-boards, have been used in this service, and the Engineering Department state that from 35 to 40 tons of gravel is the average load. Using the minimum figures as a basis, and figuring at one cent per ton per mile, the rate per car will be *23,80, which I recommend be charged. OFFICE OF THE GENERAL MANAGER R. E.
