Host of these were songs written by Anka, himself, which he has recorded in the French, Italian, German, Spanish, as well as English, languages. Among his numerous compositions are ?╟╓?╟╓Lonely Boy,?╟Ñ "Put Your Head On My Shoulder,?╟Ñ "Time To Cry," "Crazy Love," and the afore- mentioned "Diana." Many other singers including Mitch Miller, Connie Francis, Lesley Gore, Patti Page and Bobby Rydell have enjoyed success with recordings of Anka?╟╓s songs. In 1960, Anka made his debut at Hew York's famed Copacabana, the youngest performer ever to star at this showplace. The same year, he composed a complete musical production for the Copa which earned critical accolades for its "charming sophistication" and "lilting melodies." He has continued to provide the Copa with original music for its productions and is currently represented there as a composer. Paul also has composed the thematic music for such major television presentations as Johnny Carson's "Tonight Show" and "International Showtime." Anka is also responsible for one of the most martial and stirring musical compositions of our time, the title song and score from the war film epic "The Longest Day." -more- los angeles: 259 south beverly drive ?╟≤ beverly hills.
