m%?╤ke7& Little did I think when HOLIDAY ON ICE was born in Milwaukee twenty-five years ago that the infant of the ice show business would grow into a veritable giant of the entertainment industry and endure for a quarter of a century. From that small group of skaters and technicians, HOLIDAY ON ICE has become the largest producer of skating revues in the world. All of us connected with the management and creation of HOLIDAY ON ICE attribute our success, basically, to our presenting ice shows around the world where people have never before witnessed this kind of spectacle, and to our great desire to produce better ice shows and present the finest skaters, supported by the ideas of the finest designers in the field. However, most of our good fortune can be attributed to the fact that people all over the world enjoy and patronize this type of family entertainment which is visual and has no language barrier. Our first 25 years have been a tremendous experience and now, under the banner of Madison Square Garden Productions, a subsidiary of New York's famed Madison Square Garden Corporation, our plans are projected to produce even more spectacular and entertaining ice revues and visiting even more countries around the world. No effort will be spared in developing entertainment without equal in the field of ice skating for all five of our HOLIDAY ON ICE companies. HOLIDAY ON ICE wishes to express its heartfelt thanks to all of the people who have contributed to its steady progress ?╟÷ the late Emery Gilbert, George Tyson and Carl Snyder . . . Angela Gilbert and Ruth Tyson . . . our Executive Director, Alvin R. Grant, and our good friend and counselor, Irving M. Klein, who were with the company since its inception ?╟÷ as well as the skaters, the creators, technicians and musicians. But most of all our thanks go to our patrons ?╟÷ literally millions of people throughout the world ?╟÷ who have made our success possible. With great pride we point out that HOLIDAY ON ICE is the first truly international ice show, and that we have presented this unique form of American entertainment in every corner of the globe. HOLIDAY ON ICE has a long list of firsts, including participation in the United States Cultural Exchange Program, covering the tours of the Soviet Union, Africa and Asia. HOLIDAY ON ICE has played hundreds of cities and on every continent ?╟÷ a truly 'round the world show. It has been a wonderful 25 years, and as we greet you with this Silver Anniversary edition, we are looking forward to the next 25 with tremendous enthusiasm. President 1/ 1
