OFFICE OF THE CITY CLERK OF THE CITY OF LAS VEGAS, CLARK COUNTY, NEVADA. October 17th, 1938. At a recessed regular meeting of the Board of City Commissioners of the City of Las Vegas, Clark County, Nevada, held on the 17th day of October, 1928, at the hour of three o'clock, M. PRESENT: His Honor, the Mayor, J. F. Hesse, Commissioners O. J. Smith, W. C. German, W. B. Mundy, Roy Neagle, together with the City Attorney and Clerk. Meeting called to order by the Mayor. At this time the Board proceeded to open and consider bids received for the purchase of $12,000.00 Paving. Bonds to be issued by the City of Las Vegas. Thereupon the Clerk opened the sealed bids of the First State Bank, Inc., of Las Vegas, Nevada, and of the firm of Snow, Goodart & Company, Salt Lake City, said letters reading as follows:- " Las Vegas, Nevada October 17, 1928. The Board of City Commissioners of the City of Las Vegas, City. Gentlemen: We hereby bid for your $12,000.00 Las Vegas Special 1928 Pavement and Curb Improvement Bonds, bearing 5% interest, payable semi annually, the par value thereof, plus accrued interest. This bid is subject to the approval of our Attorney as to the legality of the issue. City to furnish the bonds. Enclosed find Cashier's Check in favor of the City Clerk for $600.00, being 5% of the amount bid. Respectfully submitted. FIRST STATE BANK By C. S. Wengert W/H CASHIER. " " Salt Lake City October ______, 1928. Honorable Mayor and City Council Las Vegas, Nevada. Gentlemen: For $12,000 Paving Bonds of the City of Las Vegas, to be issued in accordance with your Official Notice of Sale, we are pleased to make you the following offers: 1. For bonds bearing 6% interest, we will pay you 100 and accrued interest, plus a premium of $260.00 on the entire issue. 2. For bonds bearing 5 1/2% interest, we will pay you 100 and accrued interest, plus a premium of $22.00 on the entire issue. It is understood and agreed that you will take such steps and pass such resolutions and execute such papers as our Attorneys may require to the end that said bonds may be legally issued and delivered to us without undue or unnecessary delay. Inclosed is our Cashier's Check, for $650.00, as evidence of our good faith. This check is to be returned to our representative in case our bid is not accepted and is to be held by you uncashed in case our bid is accepted and applied as part payment on the bonds at the time of their delivery to us.
