I have been teaching since the first of October. Have a lovely place to teach in a large hall upstairs, above a store. Have the Third Reader Grades, 5 9 students. You can believe I have my hands full.
I am enjoying myself very much indeed. Like teaching real well and have a pleasant boarding place, and have nice times outside of the school. I am
living at President Crosby's place. His wife was my first teacher a lady from Parawon. Of course I feel right at home. Am only forty miles from home but have not been back once to see mama. Shall not go before the holidays I think.
There are five teachers here in the town. We have meeting every week and give lectures on Methods and Psychology. The principal teaches a

Latin class. One other teacher and myself are studying that and Algebra. Have read several books since I came so you may know I haven’t much time to waste.
Tomorrow is Thanksgiving so we shall not be having school. We are going to give the children a party in the afternoon. They have a fine hall here, but it is not yet entirely completed.
Last summer I had the privilege of meeting your two dear friends Miss Harrison and Miss Thornton at Cedar City-met them at the summer school and once afterwards at the dentists. My dear friend, please pardon me for not answering. Shall be pleased to hear from you often. Your Loving friend Laura
