Inas m u c h as the District Directors adopted a resolution at a regular m e e t i n g h e l d on October 22, 1953, requiring that three bids b e taken on all propo s e d projects inv o l v ­ing additions and betterments to the Las Vegas Land and W a t e r Company System, it will b e necessary to present your alternative recommendations to the District Directors for review and consideration. In order to expedite a determination, copies of your N o v e m b e r 13, letter, together w i t h a copy of this commu n i c a ­tion are b e i n g f u r n i s h e d to the Directors immediately. The m a t t e r is also b e i n g submitted to Mr. Leo McNamee, local District Counsel; and to O ’M e l v e n y & Meyers, District B o n d Counsel. B e f o r e reaching a final decision, the District will want the views and advice of counsel. However, every effort will b e made to re a c h a d e t e rmination as quickly as possible. In the latter connection, the w r i t e r will b e away from Las Vegas from N o v e m b e r 19 until N o v e m b e r 30. Du r i n g this period, Mr. Spe n c e r Butterfield, Vice President, and Mr. Ha r r y E. Miller, A c t i n g Manager, may be looked to to follow through on this matter.
