AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND SECTION 3 OP ORDINANCE NO. 734 BY PROVIDING THAT THE LICENSE TAXES FOR REVENUE IMPOSED ON THE OPERATORS OP GAMING AS DEFINED IN ORDINANCE NO. 734, SHALL PAY SUCH LICENSE TAXES IN ADVANCE: PROVIDING OTHER MATTERS PROPERLY RELATED THERETO; PROVIDING PENALTIES FOR THE VIOLATION OF THIS ORDINANCE; AND REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT THEREWITH. The Board of Commissioners of the City of Las Vegas do ordain as follows: SECTION 1. Section 3 of Ordinance No. 734 is hereby amended to read as follows: Section 3. That the license taxes hereinabove fixed and imposed in Section 2 of this ordinance shall be paid by Operators of the businesses designated quarterly, in advance, for the succeeding calendar quarter, or fraction thereof, such amount being due on the first of the month, immediately preceding the calendar quarter or fraction thereof for which such license taxes will accrue. Such taxes shall be paid to the Supervisor of Licenses and Revenue (hereinafter called License Officer) of the City of Las Vegas in his office therein, or to such other person as may be hereafter from time to time designated by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Las Vegas. SECTION 2. That any person, partnership, corporation or association operating a gaming estab­lishment or a gambling business which is required to pay the license tax imposed by this Ordinance, who fail to or refuses to pay such tax shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and shall upon conviction pay a fine of not more than $500.00 and/or be imprisoned in the City Jail for not more than six (6) months. Each day such violation occurs shall be a separate offense, SECTION 3. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed. THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF LAS VEGAS DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1.
