Rouse) Our executives have approved the transfer of the wa­ter production facilities of the Railroad Companies to the Las Vegas Land and Water Company. They have also approved of the transfer of the LA&SL water appropriation of 2*5 o* f,s, In Well Ho. 1 to the shop well. Mr* Reinhardt has received a wire from Mr. Stoddard advising that request covering the rearrangement of the water distributing facilities in the shop grounds at Las Vegas has been submitted for formal approval* and when ap­proval Is received* Mr. Reinhardt will be advised prompt-ly. I think that there is no doubt that formal approval for the rearrangement of the railroad distribution facil­ities In the shop grounds will be received shortly. We will go ahead with the transfer of the water pro­duction facilities of the Railroad Company Immediately. Therefore it will be necessary for the Railroad Company to take water from the transmission system of the LVL&W Company until Its own facilities In the shop grounds are placed in operation. For that reason X do not believe that the transfer of the water appropriation should be completed until the distribution facilities in the shop grounds are In such condition that water to all Railroad facilities can be distributed from the shop well without taking water from the transmission lines of the LVL&wCompany. Bearing that in mind* will you progress the application for the trans­fer of this appropriation to the existing shop well? X understand that it Is necessary to hire a well surveyor licensed In the State of Nevada In connection with this transfer and that such expense will be in the neighbor­hood of $100* You are authorized to undertake the nec­essary expenditure for this purpose* Xt is Mr. Reinhardt’s view that an additional well In the shop grounds should not be drilled until after the
