Campbell, President Dear Mr. Campbell: I have your letter of April 1st, directing my attention to certain statements contained in letter from James M. Montgomery dated March 23, 195^> relative to temporarily increasing the water supply to the City of Las Vegas for the coming summer in view of the impossibility of the District developing new sources of supply in time for the coming season of high water demand. As you know, for many years the Water Company has spent considerable money in endeavoring to increase the present water supply, cleaning out and improving the production of existing wells insofar as possible, and installing larger pumps on most of the wells. This work has now reached the limit of its possibili­ties, and we know of no other development which can be undertaken that would result in the increase your letter. in water supply asked for in It is obvious from the statements of Mr. Montgomery that he has made a study of this situation and has developed a plan for increasing the water supply for the coming summer season.
