A1 Freeman Publicity Director The Sands Hotel Las Vegas. \ fti ?√ß ' |)Vy Dear Ali lour post cards arrived just in time to be imprinted and then hand^addressed before mailing on Friday morning, (please see two samples enclosed ?╟÷ hand-addressing was then done by the same girls who had written the original message) I realize that t?½ had originally planned to send the filled-in and stamped cards back to you for mailing from Las Vegas* but.this would have delayed this mailing by another three days, which would have been too late. Your complete list, with addresses and titles, is being typed up and will be sent to you early next week. You will notice that almost 150 of these addressees are from Europe, and that for this mailing we could not send these cards to their foreign addresses. These cards are being sent directly to the Mayflower Hotel in Washington D.C., where they will be staying as guests of the National Association of Food Chains. We expect that most of them will register in our booths, at which time we will secure their foreign addresses and pass them on to you. Our convention card, which members will be carrying in their pockets, is in the art stage at this moment. Just as soon as it is ready I will send you half dozen or so. Your display in our booth will contain both pictures which you sent me, some original art work, and Mitten's Letters urging convention members to try and win a Free Holiday at the Fabulous Sands Hotel. I will have pictures made together with model who will be pushing the Sands and supplying convention members with convention cards. For a newspaper publicity shot which I hope will run on the opening day of the convention I am planning a picture of the model presenting the first convention c ard to a foreign visitor or to one of the Convention heads. Sands Display will be in picture. Will be writing you again soon. Cheers, Paul PEOM NEW YORK OFFICE 39 West 60th Street New York 23, N.Y. October 12,1957 9 A PF/ms
