    357 Motion seconded by Commissioner Sharp and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Fountain, Sharp, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. EASEMENT The Commission considered the release of easement to the First Securities Company of To First Securities Nevada from the City of Las Vegas for the north 9' of existing 30' right-of-way along Co. of Nevada the north right-of-way line of Harris Avenue. This release is in conformity with the approval of Greater Las Vegas Tract #3; Units 1 and 2, and for the revised tentative Approved plan of the NE¼, SE¼, Section 26, T20S, R61. Commissioner Sharp moved that the Mayor and City Clerk be authorized to sign the Release of Right-of-Way for a portion of Easement to the First Securities Company of Nevada for the north 9' of existing 30' right-of-way along the north right-of-way line of Harris Avenue. Motion seconded by Commissioner Whipple and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Fountain, Sharp, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. QUITCLAIM DEED The Commission considered a Quitclaim Deed to the City of Las Vegas from the Clark County Clark County School School District for the west ½ of Cherry Lane as shown on Dawson Park Tract 3; Unit No. 2 District plat; this area being the east line of the Dawson Park School property forming the west 30' of Cherry Lane right-of-way. Resolution of Acceptance Adopted Commissioner Whipple moved that the following Resolution of Acceptance be adopted and order made: RESOLUTION OF ACCEPTANCE OF QUITCLAIM DEED On motion of Commissioner Reed Whipple, duly seconded by Commissioner E. W. Fountain, and carried unanimously, the following Resolution is adopted, and order made: BE IT RESOLVED, this 1st day of April, 1959, by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Las Vegas, County of Clark, State of Nevada, that the deed, dated the 12th day of March, 1959, executed by Clark County School District to the City of Las Vegas, County of Clark, State of Nevada, and that the real property described therein be, and is hereby accepted, for the purposes of street; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that a copy of this Resolution be attached to said deed, and that the same be recorded in the Office of the County Recorder of the County of Clark, State of Nevada, and this resolution be filed in the records of this Board. STATE OF NEVADA ) ) ss. COUNTY OF CLARK ) I, R. F. Boos, Acting City Clerk, of the City of Las Vegas, County of Clark, State of Nevada, hereby certify the foregoing to be a full, true and correct copy of the Resolution accepting the deed attached hereto duly adopted at a regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners held on the 1st day of April, 1959. ASSESSMENT DISTRICT 100-43 The City Clerk read a resolution to advertise for construction bids for Assessment District Street Lighting; Main St., 100-43, Street Lighting on Main Street from Bonanza to Owens to be opened May 6, 1959. Bonanza to Owens Commissioner Fountain moved that the following resolution be adopted and order made: Resolution to Advertise for Bids Adopted R E S O L U T I O N WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners of the City of Las Vegas have taken steps to create certain public improvements all as provided for in Emergency Ordinance No. 788, passed, adopted and approved the 18th day of March, 1959; and WHEREAS, the time has now arrived to authorize and direct the Acting City Clerk to advertise for construction bids all in accordance with proceedings heretofore taken, to construct said improvements by special assessment. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Las Vegas at a regular meeting thereof, held on the 1st day of April, 1959, that the Acting City Clerk and Clerk of the Board of Commissioners will receive bids for the furnishing of labor, materials, transportation and services for the improvement of North Main Street in Special Assessment District No. 100-43 as created by Emergency Ordinance No. 788 in the City of Las Vegas, Nevada. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Acting City Clerk and Clerk of the Board of Commissioners be and he hereby is directed to publish a notice of the receipt of bids for said construction by publication at least three times one week apart in the Las Vegas Review Journal, a daily newspaper published in the City of Las Vegas; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Acting City Clerk and Clerk of the Board of Commissioners be directed to publish in said notice that the bids for said construction will be received until 8:00 P.M. on Wednesday, the 6th day of Mary, 1959, at which time said bids will be opened. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that said notice shall be in substantially the form attached to this Resolution and made a part hereof. ADOPTED AND APPROVED this 1st day of April, 1959. ATTEST: /s/ C. D.
