Dear Sir,- I beg to acknowledge receipt of your valued favor of the 5th, in regard to painting the roofs of-the Company houses at Las Vegas• I note that while you dislike to see an expense of #1,000.00 incurred at this time, you assume that the roofs of the dwelling-houses at that point require attention, and that if this be true, you concur. In reply beg to say that the roofs are in very bad shape, and I feel that-there would be a loss to the Company to allow them to run over for another year in their present condition.
