Annual Reports of Electric and Water Utilities Los Angeles, California. May 27, 1929. Mr, C. C, Barry: Answering yours of May 25. With return of your file in the above matter, I would suggest that you submit to the Public Service Commission that portion of your proposed draft of letter down to where I have marked it at the end of the third paragraph on page 2, and add the following: wV'e realize the necessity of a segregation of the water utilities operations from the real ©state operations, on account of the new conditions arising at Las Vegas and vicinity, and our engineering department is now working to this end. We expect within the next 60 days to have complete information and data available for our next annual report, and in the meantime, should you so require, we will be glad to furnish you any additional information with respect to the various amounts covered by water service operation as reflected' by our general balance sheet, or any other information that you may desire. Appreciating your consideration in this matter heretofore, and. with the assurance that we are at all times glad to give you any information w© have available, I am Sincerely,tt In this connection I realize that your office is working under the assumption that the railroad owns the water and is now serving the Las Vegas Land & Water Co* under the old §200 a month, contract* On the contrary, Las Vegas Land & Water Co* owns all of the water that it applies on the Las Vegas Ranch and that it furnishes to Clark’s Las Vegas town site and various other subdivisions within the boundaries of the city of Las Vegas.
