Conrad International Hotel & Jupiters Casino Broadbeach Island, Broadbeach 4217 P.O. 1271, Broadbeach 4217 Australia Dear Jim, I'm glad to hear that "STARZ" is doing so well. I seem to be batting a thousand these days as my three year old "FOLIES BERGERE ", according to house counts, has been number one in Las Vegas for six months, and in the Bahamas, they have just extended "SOIREE " another two years. I received your outline for "STARZ II". Thank you for including the "subject to change" clause. As you know our show is very unique with certain specific guidelines. If they are ignored "STARZ II" can look like an ordainary "Las Vegas-type" revue, where you have ambiguous numbers and acts strung together without much consideration for contrast, pace and content. In "STARZ" within the fantasy of time travel, there is authenticity in the various places to which we journey. I do months of research to insure that each place has validity of period and culture. This is what gives our show it's underlying substance. Years of writing have taught me that audiences sense the difference between shows with or without a strong foundation. If this underlying substance is lacking at the out-start or indiscriminately changed during the run of the show, the show will not sustain it's impact and house counts eventually start to diminish.
