80*11 80*12 Los Angeles* April 24, 1953 Mr. R. I.. Adamsonj (cc - Mr* Ha* Reinhardt Mr* V* A. Jurden ' Mr. 1. R. Haag) 1 call your attention to Exhibit "A!: attached to the proposed agreement for sale of water system to the Las Vegas Valley Mater District and to the industries located along Main Street southerly of point 3 thereon* I understand that 1, B. Cox receives water from service connection with line of the Mater Coog&ny extending northerly of point 3 and that Texas Company and Roach Construction Company receive water from service connections connecting with pipe lines which will be retained by the Railroad when its water production facilities are sold to the Mater Company and to the District. The attorney for the District calls attention to the fact that the District will not have any way of serving these three industries end desires to have the Railroads grant an casement for a pipe 1 In# extending southerly from point 3 to serve these industries* If you do not see any objection to this proposal* Exhibit ”Af: should be revised to show the location of a line which will accomplish this. As you know* the Railroads are about to convey their water production facilities to the Water Company and to disconnect their water facilities in the shop grounds from industries which have heretofore been served by the Railroad under private contract. 1 assume that the Texas Company and Roach Construction Company will be disconnected frost the Railroad lines as a part of this work. Therefore it appears to me that the Mater Company will immediately have to extend its facilities southerly frost point 3 to serve these industries and that the extended line will ultimately be sold to the District as an addition and betterment to the facilities of the Mater Company*. If you agree with this Conclusion* will you please take the necessary steps to see that authority is obtained for this extension and advise me of the proposal so that I shall know how to cover the situation In our proposed contract with the District.
