Petersen 701 Oakey Boulevard Las Vegas, Nevada W - ~ < * Dear Sir; Referring to conversation a few days ago concerning installation of water aalns to serve that portion of Alta Vista Tract 8, fronting on Canosa Avenue from 7th Street to 10th Street, Las Vegas, Nevada. In order to serve the 5 lots on Canosa Avenue between 7th and 8th Streets together with the 24 lots between 8th and 10th Streets we estimate It will require installation of 1170 L.P. of 6* oast Iron water main, the estimated cost of which is $4570.00, which amount pursuant to Nevada Public Service Commission FUle 9 will be subject to refund. In addition the city requires installation of two fire hydrants to provide adequate fire protection for the subdivision, which hydrants it will be necessary that you, at your own expense, secure from the city. The estimated cost of constructing 6* fire hydrant connections to serve these hydrants is $240.00, which amount is not subject to refund. before the Nevada Public Service Commission Case No. 1214 regarding application of the Las Vegas Land and Water Company to amend its Rule 9.5 to read as follows; (a) The Company will make no extensions of its mains to provide water service in areas of the City of Las Vegas not theretofore served by water mains of the Company subsequent to December 1, 1951, unless a contract for such extension of mains under the existing rules of the Company shall have been entered into prior to December 1, As I verbally advised you there is pending 1951
