Jackson* At the present time, the water treating plants at the above-cautioned terminals are under the diroot ton o f the Mechanical Department, as when these plants were Installed i t was thought that economies could be e ffe cte d and probably the operation would be . • Je" ‘ sim plified* Bow, however, i t appears that the operation o f the plants requires so much o f the operators* time that assistance can not be given the Meohanieal Department, and i t is reoo-rtended that these plants be placed under the Jurisdiction o f the Water Service Department, In order that one Department m y be responsible fo r the operation o f the plants.
