Mr, Walter R, Bracken, Las Vegas, Nevada, Dear Sir:— I hand you herewith copy of letter of May lU-th, 1925 from Mr, J., M, Ullom, regarding taxes on Las Vegas property sold under contract. Your attention is particularly called to the last paragraph of the letter in which Mr, Ullom suggests that an exception be made in the case of W» H*Elwe.ll» While our proposed manner of handling is strictly in accordance with our contracts with the various purchasers, we do not wish to antagonize anybody needlessly and it occurs to me that it might be well for you to go into the matter with Mr, Elwell personally, if you think it desirable, in order to avoid any possibility of arousing a feeling of resentment on his part. If, in your judgment, it seems advisable to make an exception in regard to the second installment of Mr* Elwell‘s taxes for 1924- I suggest that you so advise Mr* Ullom, In any event I would appreciate prompt advice from you as to your decision and action in the matter as the time for making payment is drawing near, Yours truly, Right of Way and Tax Agent.
