Bracken - las Vegas: Referring to annual letter on your file W 18-6-2, in which you furnish information requested by this office for use in compiling Annual Report of Water Utility to the Public Service Commission of Nevada: The following statistical information was also furnished for the year 1937 by Mr. Strong’s office (in former years by Mr. Knicker­bocker or Mr. Adamson) on their file 9215-3-W: Maximum amount of water available - 2,318,967,106 gallons Total diverted to Railroad and Ranch - 1,377,734,169 w y Total water sold or metered - 941,232,937- " Total water unaccounted for - None In accordance with the practice followed in compiling this Report for years prior to 1936 by the Auditor of the L.A.& S.L.R.R.Co. at Los Angeles, the following information was reported in answer to questions under the heading of "General Statistics", on Page 13 of the Report for the year 1937: 1. Source of Water Supply - Two artesian wells and two y springs (as reported in your letter of February 5, 1938) 2. Maximum amount of water available - 2,318,967,106 gallons |jj (as reported, in Mr* Strong’s telegram S-366, March 17,1938) \ 3. Total water pumped or diverted from stream - None (as reported ,in your letter of February 5, 1938) 4. Total water sold or metered - 938?,702,963 gallons (as reported in your letter of February 5, 1938) 5. Total water unaccounted for - 1,380,264,143 gallons, with reference to footnote reading "Available water not used in City diverted to Las Vegas Ranch and used for irrigation purposes" (this amount represents the difference between amounts reported for items 2 and 4)
