Las Vegas, Nevada, March 3, 1923. Mr. C. P. Smith, Secretary, Las Vegas land & Water Co., los Angeles, California. Dear Sir: Referring to your wire to me of February 24th in reference to contracts covering piece of ground which was to be sold to John 1. Russell. As stated in my reply to your wire, the party from whom Russell had intended to secure the funds, has failed him and he has at this time given up trying to purchase this piece of hnd and I have the original and duplicate original contracts, which is No. QolS, in my possession. If you think it advisable, I can dispose of this piece of ground under same terms and agreements as the Russell contract, to W. B. Hawkins, who you will remember purchased a piece of ground east of Las Vegas town- site and has made settlement in full for that. Will you kindly advise. Yours truly, B/H Vice-President & Agent.
