I agree.THE SHOSHANIM GROUP - HADASSAH Open Board Meeting - July 15, 1996 Location - Home of Ilene Adler The meeting was called to order at 7:50 PM by President Sherry DeArmas. Sherry read a welcoming letter to the newest life member Leah Sichel. It was an overview of what Hadassah had done recently. The minutes from the previous board meeting were read by Ellen Weinstein and approved. There was a Treasurer's report by Marcia Marx, who gave the beginning account balance as $418.04. A check was debited in the amount of $32 to the postmaster for stamps. On July 2nd a deposit was made of $50.00 for new life members. The ending balance is $436.04. The IMA fund total is $180.00, leaving an available balance of $256.04. A fund raising report was made by Ramona Luckman. New Years cards will be available for purchase. Checks for the calendar ads are due by August 1st. The Gala Ball held for the chapter will be on April 6, 1997. A suggested wine tasting in an art gallery, in lieu of the traditional youth aliyah luncheon, was proposed. A cook book entitled "Feasting the Festivals" with recipe contributions from chapter members-at- large was suggested as a major fund raising endeavor. A summer social, to be held on Saturday July 27th at the home of Harriet Smylie, was discussed. It was decided that the theme would be "A Latin Fiesta", BYOB. Members are to bring a dessert or an appetizer and a white elephant for an exchange game. The party is to start at 7:00 PM and RSVP's are necessary. The calendar for the remaining portion of the year starting in January was set: January: 13th, General Meeting 26th, Life Membership Luncheon February: 3rd, Board Meeting 10th, General Meeting March: 10th, General Meeting 17th, Board Meeting April: 6th, HMO Gala 14th, General Meeting May: 12th, General Meeting/Installation 19th, Board Meeting June: 1st, Donor Luncheon The meeting was adjourned at 9:00 PM.
