Report of the Ivy Leaf Reporter December 7,2002As the year ends, this is my final report to the chapter as your Ivy Leaf Reporter and Public Relations Director. I have enjoyed my four years in this office and hope that I have served you effectively in this capacity. I know that your new Ivy Leaf Reporter, Jackie Caffey will do an excellent job and I will support her wholeheartedly.Unfortunately, I leave you with a bit of unsettling news in that our new Supreme Basileus has brought in new people and the old Ivy Leaf Reporter that we had a good relationship is no longer the editor. A call to national headquarters revealed that no there knew who the new editor will be. So we will have to forge our way in a new arena.I have met with Soror Jackie and given her as much information as possible, samples of press releases, reports, and lists of media contacts.May each of you have a Blessed Christmas and Best in the New Year.Sincerely,Soror Annette T, Craighead Ivy Leaf Reporter
Report of the Ivy Leaf Reporter
    September 7,2002
If you’ve read your last Ivy Leaf magazine, you know that we again had double
coverage with articles and pictures about our Founders’ Day Luncheon and our Mardi
    Gras Ball.
I was able to work with the Ivy Leaf Editor in Chief at the Boule. As a result of
being the Boule Press Room, I was interviewed by a reporter from the Orlando Sentinel. I
have passed out copies of that article for all of you to read. I also attended a Boule
workshop on the ABC”s of Media Coverage.
My last submission to the Ivy Leaf was an article for NewsMakers on Soror Josie
Gaines receiving the Lions International Award. Soror Gaines graciously paid the fee for
her picture to appear in the magazine.
Our Web site renewal is due and Soror Billie Rayford has also graciously agreed to
    pay this bill.
Very shortly I will turning over the duties of my office to another Soror. I have
enjoyed handling the chapter’s publicity and will be helping the next Ivy Leaf Reporter
continue to put Theta Theta Omega in the spotlight.
    Respectfully submitted,
    Annette T. Craighead

Report of the Ivy Leaf ReporterI am sending around a list for all Sorors with Email addresses to sign. Please put your name and email address on this paper so that you can be notified of the web site workshop. If you have not accessed the sorority web site you are missing a great deal. Not only does Soror Ethel Archibald note all activities, birthdays, anniversaries, etc., but many are not'jiosting photos from sorority events such as the Mardi Gras Ball and the NBLIC conference. And if you didn’t know, you can access the National web site from our local site as well as Kappa Xi’s web site.I have an article ready to send to the Ivy Leaf but move that I be given $85.00 to include the picture of our Mardi Gras King and Queen - Soror Ethel and her Honey Do.Respectfully submitted,Soror Annette T. Forty press releases went out to all the media advertising the Mardi Gras Ball. I also
arranged for Sorors Willa White and Lavonne Lewis to appear on the Lillian McMorris
TV 5 program - “Southern Nevada”.
I continue to place our meeting dates in the Review - Journal’s “Around The
Valley”. This always appears the Thursday before our meeting date. This has turned out to
be an important PR item as several sorors have attended as a result of reading the article.
Last meeting two new visiting sorors came as a result of the article and plan to join TTO.
The best and most extensive public relations come from you sorors. When we have
public affairs, we all need to tell our friends, co-workers, and anyone else that will listen for
a minute about what we are doing. Have you told a friend about what we are doing in “On
Track”? Have you told anyone about the scholarships we give or about our mentoring
teenage girls through the AKAteens? If not, why not? I’m very proud of the work we do in
the community and talk about it as well as send press releases when necessary.
While only a few of you are on the Public Relations committee, all of you are PR
ambassadors for Theta Theta Omega. Let’s talk it up sorors!
    Respectively submitted,
    Annette T. Craighead

Public Relations covered all publicity for our Founders’ Day Luncheon and now has
press releases ready to be sent out for our Mardi Gras Ball.
I continue to work on the Public Relations Album for 2001 and would like to ask all
those with appropriate pictures for it to let me know. I would particularly like the photo
that someone took of Soror Elsie Bryant and myself receiving our Golden Soror medallions
    and certificates.
I would like to include a section on Sorors in the News in 2001 like I did in the 2000
album. Therefore would you be let me know if you received any recognitions, degrees,
honors, promotions, children or grandchildren that became AKA members or received
    some honor, etc., etc.
I will not mention a website workshop until it is finalized which will be after the
    Mardi Gras Ball.
    Respectfully submitted,
    Soror Annette T. Craighead

Report of the Ivy Leaf Reporter January 5, 2002
Your Public Relations has been working hard on the Founders' Day Luncheon. Tickets were designed and printed for the occasion. Press Releases were sent out to all the media, including the libraries. Invitations were designed and printed so that they could be sent out to various churches and organizations. Nameplates were made for the dais. And when I return from LA, I should have the dates down for TV coverage of the event on Lillian McMorris's program.
Work is beginning for the Mardi Gras Ball and there will be similar public relation coverage.
    Respectfully submitted,
Annette T. Craighead Ivy Leaf Reporter
