Shucfchart: S315-3-W Referring to your letter March 28, file D 2-2, requesting statement showing calculations involved in deter­mining cost of water at Las Vegas for use in arriving at rental Las Vegas Land and Water Company would pay for use of facilities of the Railroad Company during the year 1931 under contract Audit Ho* 7333: Mr, Adamson has submitted figures in connection with proposed increased water rates to consumers at Las Vegas, in accordance with which the Land and Water Company rental would he increased about $343,00 per month as compared with 1930, due for the most part to figuring interest on Railroad Company*s facilities at 8$, instead of 6dL as was done in compiling last year*s figures. For this reason and as it isx expected the situation will he reviewed in the near future incident to finally determining upon a proposed new water schedule to he present 2d to Utilities Commission for approval, believe it advisable to continue billing the Land and Water Company at the 1930 rental rate for the present and until the entire situation has been reviewed.
