SAN PEDRO, LOS ANGELES AND SALT LAKE RAILROAD COMPANY W. H. BANCROFT, First Vice-president OFFICE OF FIRST VICE-PRESIDENT Salt Lake City, February 7th, 1914. Resignation of C.B.Seger. Director: . .PERSOHAL^,. Mr. Rose Clark, Second Vice-President, Los Angeles. % dear Mr. Clark: 1 enobcse herewith Mr. C. B. Soger's resignation, dated lew York, February 2nd, as Director and member of the Executive Committee of the San Pedro, Los Angeles & Salt Lake Railroad Company, to take effect immediately. Mr. Lovett transmitted Mr. Seger* s resignation, suggesting that we arrange to have Mr. Calvin elected to succeed him, this for the reason that Mr* Seger has never been able to attend meetings, and, so far as Executive Committee matters are concerned, the Senator and Mr. Lovett usually get together and decide upon things and then notify you and X, as the Special Committee, so that we can have their action duly ratified by the Board. On account of this situation, Mr. Lovett thinks it would be preferable to have Mr. Calvin elected as a Director of this oom- pony to succeed Mr. Seger, and X would appreciate it if you will arrange to have this done at the next meeting of the Board. our s very tru ly, End
