CALIFORNIA ?╟≤ CRESTVIEW 4-0766 February 26, 1962 Mr, Jack Entratter Jack Entratter Enterprises 36 Central Park South New York, New York Dear Jack: I talked with the Manager of the Kentucky State Fair in Louisville this date and he would like to have Red appear there September 7, 8, and 9, As you know, Red will close in Indiana on September 3* This is one of the largest Fairs in the South and has a grandstand which seats 21,000. We can do three evening shows and one matinee or two evening shows and two matinees. The grandstand will scale out at around $35,000 a perfor- mance. This date would be a cinch for a $100,000 gross and they have offered a straight 70/30. They will furnish everything for the show the same as Ohio, Indiana, etc. Good old Gene Autry grossed over $80,000 there at a similar engagement so you can draw your own conclusions about Red * s potential.
