BOX 800 ONTARIO, CALIFORNIA 91764 Howard Hughes Enterprises Las Vegas, Nevada Gentlemen: I am writing on behalf of a portion of the 1280 boys at Youth Trsitting School, a department of California Youth Authority. Y.T.S. is a Wholly State supported institution providing vocational training and rehabilitation for young men, aged 17 to 22. These young men spend a minimum of nine months at the school and, of course, a program of varied entertainment plays a vital part in the overall rehabili- tation program, A "Las Vegas?╟Ñ night is planned for late May to consist of Las Vegas type activities (casino atmosphere, various games of chance, entertainment, etc.) for 130 of these boys. We understand that you may be able to provide us with souvinees representative of Las Vegas and your hotels, such as playing cards, matches, dice, napkins, ash trays, etc. ----?╟÷?╟÷?╟÷- * , . ... '' ' ?√ß ?√ß Unfortunately, the State dbes not provide funds for such supplies as are required for this event and we must rely on the generosity of others for these things. You can be sure that your contribution of any or all of the above mentioned items will be greatly appreciated by all of the boys and would help to lend an authentic atmosphere to their special program.
