Dear Sir: Referring to oar recent conversation in reference to the price of unsold lots in Clark’s Los. Vegas Townsite, as re­quested, 1 herewith enclose a price list showing the authorized price March 20, 1908, April 6, 1911, and June 14, 1914, also the proposed reduction in price. You will note I have reduced prices t; almost the same list as was authorized by the special Committee in 1908, and for the following reasons. of taxation in Clark County and our lota are assessed at more than we can possibly sell them for at present, and we have been paying this taxation for years with no movement in lot sales. Secondly- There are very few desirable lots left on our list, I mean by this they are either out of the way from present improved lots or some undesirable feature surrounds them. shops were contemplated and finished, and some lots at that time sold, but now that we have settled down to a living-basis and know just what the town is, and will be for years, (unless something unforeseen should arise) I think it would be a wise move to reduce the prices and try and push the sale of townsite lots. If this is done, I will go before the Board of County Commissioners and County Assessor and demand that the assessed value be? reduced at least 50^% I wish to be as brief as possible but must give you some idea of why the reduction in the different blocks.
