$25,000,000---------------------------------------1906—--------------------------------------------------------------------------$25,000,000 _____ ________________ —. .-- . —- - . .. - - — ____________ i THE HOMES OF OUR PEOPLE. Artistic interior Arrangement is the Predominating Characteristic. Whoie-Hearted Loyalty the Most Attractive Side of Life in these Deiightfui Homes. The unprecedented and unparelle!ed growth of our city naturally found as lacking in many of ) t the accommodations to be found in those cities whose growth has been more gradual, but here the resourcefulness and gameness of our people asserted itself and instead of losing heart we began to build, nbt palaces but substantial shacks which, while pot: ideal in architecture, were nevertheless comfortable { and in most cases, with the added touch of a wonian's hand, were cosy inside. But the shack was only a makeshift and montM ago we began the building of real homes and that ! they are not makeshifts is proved by the views here shown. The great amount of home building now going on in our city is positive proof of the lasting faith of our men. In many cases where so fnrtntistf tr, ft-nm the pri?...-! sought by all, their first thought is to seek home locations in some one of the larger cities, arguing that there they may have all the advantages to whicft their wealth entitles them. Not so in Goldfield; our men love their city*, love the grand free life in tAe open, where every association tends to develop the best there is in them and make life worth living. , And so these men instead of seeking the cities are building here their permanent homes and sparing no expense that will add to their beauty. Men soon acquire here the open-handed, whole-souled spirit of the West—the other fellows do not last long—and so it is that these delightful homes, are occupied by generous, hospitable, real men of the West, and their big-hearted wives, and these draw around them a circle of charming friends, thus affording the man or woman so inclined opportunity for sweet social intercourse, And this is the material from which our social structure is built. " ' This home spirit, so strongly developed in our people is asserting itself in every way, each striving his utmost to do that which will further the interests of our city. Such concerted effort will surely result in the realization of an idea! city in the desert, and in less than twelve months from this writing the stranger visiting here for the first time will realize that he has found in Goldfield a municipal diamond in a setting of gold—the setting warranted for all time as reports of every reliable expert show our gold supply to be unlimited. r.
