    BEFORE THE PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION OF NEVADA IN THE MATTER OF WATER SERVICE FURNISHED : THE RESIDENTS OF THE CITY OF LAS VEGAS t Case 1207 BY THE LAS VEGAS LAND & WATER COMPANY J At a general session of the Public Service Commission of Nevada, held at its offices in Carson City, Nevada, August 28, 1950* PRESENT: Chariman J. G. Allard Commissioner Charles V* Williams Commissioner Alfred Merritt Smith Secretary Lee S. Scott ORDER TO SHOW CAUSE IT APPEARING That on August 11, 1950 there was filed with the Commission a complaint by the City of Las Vegas, Nevada demanding that the Commission require the Las Vegas Land and Water Company to proceed immediately to augment the present water supply to the City of Las Vegas, Nevada; that there is insufficient water available, and that condition has existed for some time, IT IS ORDERED, That this Commission, on its own motion, in accordance with the provisions of the Public Service Commission act enter into an investigation concerning said water service in the City of Las Vegas, Nevada as furnished by the Las Vegas Land and Water Company; and IT IS FURTHER ORDERED That an official or officials of the Las Vegas Land and Water Company appear before the Commission in the Council Chambers of the Las Vegas City Hall at ten o*clock A.M., Daylight Saving Time, September 21, 1950, and show cause if any they may have why this Commission should not proceed forthwith to enter its order requiring the Las Vegas Land and Water Company to provide an additional water supply as will insure residents of the City of Las Vegas, Nevada an adequate supply of water for the future.
