PRESENT: Chairman Robert A. Allen Commissioner M. B. Humphrey Commissioner Fred W. Clayton Assistant Secretary Cora Austin O R D E R IT APPEARING That under date of June 1, 1953 the Los Angeles and Salt lake Railroad Company, Union Pacific Railroad Company and Las Vegas Land and Water Company entered into a certain agreement with the Las Vegas Valley Water District, a public cor­poration, created and existing pursuant to provisions of Chapter 167 of the 19^7 Statutes of Nevada, as amended, whereby the said companies agreed to sell water production, storage and distribution facilities of said companies to the Las Vegas Valley Water District; and IT FURTHER APPEARING That there now has been filed with the Commission an application for Las Vegas Land and Water Company to discontinue its water service in accordance with Section 6137, N. C. L., 1943-^9 Supplement, simultaneously with the taking over by the Las Vegas Valley Water District of the water production, storage and distribution facilities and the operations of said water service of the Las Vegas Land and Water Company; and IT FURTHER APPEARING That the Commission is advised in the premises and by granting the application would be in the public; interest, IT IS ORDERED That the application be, and the same is hereby, granted.
