He stated that they are $10.00 each, and that they have 200 shirts to sell, and that the proceeds go towards the education of families of the toops stationed in Saudi. He stated that over 120,000 shirts have been sold nationwide already. He informed everyone that the shirts can be purchased in the Hotel Administration office in Beam Hall, and requested everyone's support. He stated that on page 4 and 5 of the newspaper, there are two ads of lectures coming up that UNLV, Kappa Sigma, and the Student Program Council are putting on that are very good. He stated that the organiza-tions feel that rape should be addressed because in Las Vegas, one out of every three women gets raped. SENATOR ROMERO had no comments. SENATOR FINMARK stated that she has comments concerning the Yellin' Rebel, of course, and that she wanted to tell everyone who was not able to be at the Publications Board meeting, that the Rape Seminar is in the Community Events section of the paper, and that it was very small, and considering that such a topic is so worthwhile, it deserved a lot more attention that the Yellin' Rebel gave it. She stated that she has been informed by more than one student that they are very upset about learning about activities AFTER they have occurred, and that the Yellin' Rebel should spend more attention on activities. She stated that Kappa Sigma had their article turned in early, and that they should have had a better report in the Yell. SENATOR ORTEGA stated that she wanted to THANK everyone that generously volunteered their time to the Snow Spectacular, and, concerning the large list of volunteers, she would like to thank Senator Young for attending. She stated that she really would like to thank all who did not attend, as they publically embar-rassed her, UNLV, the Senate, CSUN and UNLV. He stated that he allows these verifica-tions because he wants to prove his eligibility to the particular organizations that he belongs to. However, he stated, that he approves of ONE person or committee to verify those grades — not randomly chosen individuals or the Yellin' Rebel, for that mat-ter. He stated that while he agrees that SOMEONE should be checking our status, he does not condone the invasion of someone's privacy. He stated that as for the Yellin' Rebel call-ing on the Senate to enact an emergency motion requesting that President Bunin step aside, he stated that the editorial from the paper calling for President Bunin's resignation, the satirical cartoon and other articles that appeared in the Yellin' Rebel, ALL on the front page, no less, that the paper has placed Presi-dent Bunin is a position known in law as "public light." He stated that it means that he is tried for what he's been accused of! He stated that when you charge someone with a crime or wrongdoing, they have the legal right to counsel. President Bunin has been thusly charged by the infamous 18, and he has responded.
