COPY JONES, WIENER & JONES Attorneys at Law May 26, 1948 Las Vegas Land & Water Company Las Vegas, Nevada Attention: Al Folger Dear Mr. Folger: Pursuant to our telephone conversation on May 25, I wish to outline our proposal to you concerning water facilities for the Thunderbird Hotel located one-half mile south of city limits of Las Vegas on Highway 91. Our proposal is this: That we will run a 6-inch line from the present fire plug located about 600 feet north of the city limits on highway 91, also 5th Street to the city limits. This line we will turn over to the Las Vegas Land and Water Company as their property and will be reimbursed for this cost through the payment of 50% of the water bill that we may pay to the water company until the cost of this line is amortized or until a period of 10 years is past. Then we will run a 6-inch line from the city limits of Las Vegas to our hotel property which line will be owned by us. We will take delivery of all water from the Land and Water Company at the city limits of Las Vegas, Nevada and will pay for this water at the established rate in Las Vegas, Nevada. If necessary we would also be willing to take the water through a meter at the city limits at a rate comparable to that charged within the city to be established. It is also to be understood that the water taken through this 6-inch line from the Land & Water Company would be used for domes- tic purposes only. We would use our own well and water facilities for the maintenance of our lawns and shrubs and for furnishing water for our swimming pool. In carrying out this project we would furnish all pipe nec- essary and would dig the ditch and lay the pipe ourselves as we have the facilities with which to do this work. Hoping for a favorable and early consideration of this matter, I remain, Yours very truly, JONES, WIENER & JONES By /s/ Clifford A. Jones /t/ Clifford A. Jones COPY
