It's a field day for men with 20-20 vision. "All About Dames" is typical musical revue, jumping from a farm in Kansas, to London, Paris, Turkey and a tropical island. This gave the costume designer a field day, as it did to those at ringside. The 'stars are Jane Russell of film fame, in songs; Bennett and Patterson as the laugh providers; Boubouka of the slippery hips, and a dynamic blond, Pony Sherrell, who makes like Mae West. With hats that reach the ceiling and necklines that reach the floor, the new Latin Quarter revue, as devised by Donn Arjgjri. is due for wide and wide-eyed appeal. Miss Russell, who is a matter of taste, depending on whether your preferences allow for a brassy ig>ice of no particular quality, nevertheless scored at the premiere.
