Las Vegas - February 13, 1953* Mr. W.H. Johnson - Los Angeles 00: Mr. L.M, Layne Mr. Ed Brown of the Las Vegas Sun, located at 900 South Main Street, Las Vegas, called on me yesterday stating that he had a substantial interest in the Las Vegas Sun, and, was very much interested in securing a site for a warehouse in the rear of their building which, X believe, is located on Lot 0 on Main Street, opposite Hoover Street. He stated that all of their newsprint is now being hauled in by truck ahd it was his desire to ship by railroad instead. He Indicated that M s requirements would be approximately 2 shipments a month o f 28 tons each which would probably originate in Los Angeles. Mr. Brown would like to know whether it would be possible to lease an area approximately 50* frontage in back of their building and requested that X contact you and ascertain whether such &n arrangement could be made.
