C o p y Omaha - Sept. S, 194& 073-1* Mr. G. F. Ashby: (CG - Mr. T. ¥. Boekes) General Manager Paulsen advises under date of Sept. 3d, as follows: "The Las Vegas, Nevada Review-Journal of August 30 carried an article stating the Board of County Commissioners had approved a petition.for the creation of a comprehensive water district in the Las Vegas Valley; the date for the election on the district will be decided at September 7 meeting of the Board; the District would be so organized as to handle all the water consumed in the area and to take over the holdings of the Las Vegas Land and Water Co." Have been further advised that the election has been set for October 5th. By copy of this letter, I am asking Mr. Boekes to advise in regard to the law in the matter. (Sgd) P. J. LYNCH
