Salt Lake City Dear Sir: I have your letter of August 28th, suggesting that we might enploy Mr. Francis L.Selkw to look over the Lake Valley territory north of Pioche. I hardly believe that sufficient development has taken place there yet, or that it is near enough to our line, to warrant us in going to the expense of having Mr, Sellew make an examination of it. We have succeeded in getting the officials of the Nevada State University interested, to the extent that they have already arranged to send a well-drilling outfit up there and see what they can develops in the way of underground waters. My idea is that they can provide the men and the funds in connection with what help they can get locally to do all the investigating and prospecting that the situation warrants at this time.
