I agree.Los Angeles - July 7* 1953 / Mr. Wm. Reinhardt cc: Mr. L.R. Maag Mr. C.M. Cory W M . R. JUL 7 1953 Referring to Mr. Maag's letter to you of July 6th, his file W 23-1-127* in connection with solution of our water line in Charleston Blvd. a strip of which has been vacated leaving our water line running through private property. I have suggested to Mr. Cory that he endeavor to drag this matter out as much as he could and also, to discuss the matter with Mr. Coulthard, a Director of the District. I told Mr. Coulthard that the Water District, under the contract of June 1st, had bought this water line and so far as we were concerned they would take it dver in connection with other facilities which they are taking over if the bond issue carries and they buy the Water Company. Under the circumstances, I told him that I felt the District should pay for the cost of this removal . I I do not know from an accounting standpoint whether the removal and relocation is a capital investment or operating expense but I see no reason why Mr. Maag should not submit the project to the Water District for their approval and acquiescence in the expenditure.
