Mr. A lim stated the Commission was of the opinion that in order to prevent wastage and to equalise d istrib u tio n * no tap la rg e r than 3/4* should be perm itted and i t was on th is basis the Commission approved ra te of 15*00 fo r 3/4“ tap* when X explained th a t the Board of F ire Under­w rite rs and C ity Plumbing Code required la rg e r services fo r m u ltiple sto ry end m u ltip le u n it b u ild in g s, he advised that so fa r as the commercial and m ultiple u n it b u ild u p s were concerned* we w ill have to In s ta ll la rg e r services* and the Commlastan w ill promptly consider application fo r connection charge, fo r such services* I suggest the follow ing charges* 1* up to 50* $25*00 Over 1* and up to 2* - 50* long 50*00 Over 2“ o r services in assess of 50* Cost plus 10# While the Plumbing Code fo r the la rg e r homes* w ith sprink le rs and other water using equipment such as washers and disposals* generally c a ll fo r service connections la rg e r than 3/4* end Mr. A lle n was aware of Code requirements* he stated the Commission was s a tis fie d that in order to conserve water* sin g le residences should be confined to 3/4* services* fi« H* Johnson
