Dear Sir: I beg to herewith enclose a blue print showing acreage adjacent to John I>. Russell Ranch, north and west of the Railroad tracks, comprising 92.36 acres. This is the piece of ground Mr. Russell is wanting to purchase, paying us $200.00 per acre for the same, to be purchased under agreement, one-fourth down and the balance to run for one year at 7$ interest. You will remember I spoke to you concerning this sale when last in Los Angeles and might say that the sale is approved both by Mr. Comstock and Mr. E. A. Williams, whom I have had over the ground. It is acreage that will not be used by us at any time, as it is north of the creek and as it is assessed at 3/4 of the actual valuation, it will be relieving us of quite a heavy tax and I would recommend that we close the deal.
