OFFICE OF THE CITY CLERK OF THE CITY OF LAS VEGAS, CLARK COUNTY, NEVADA. January 5, 1929. At a regular recessed meeting of the Board of City Commissioners of the City of Las Vegas Clark County, Nevada, held on the 5th day of January, 1929, at the hour of three o'clock, P. M. PRESENT: His Honor the Mayor, J. F. Hesse, Commissioners W. B. Mundy, W. C. German, together city City Clerk, Attorney and Engineer. ABSENT: Commissioners Roy Neagle and O. J. Smith. Meeting called to order by the Mayor. The Clerk presented to the Board a written request of C. H. Stephens to conduct a movable lunch car upon the streets of the City of Las Vegas. After due consideration this request was rejected. The Clerk then presented to the Board the request of Oscar C. Anderson and V. D. Mullenix for permit to operate a movable lunch car on the streets of this city. After due consideration this request was rejected. The Clerk was directed to inform all applicants for permit to use the City streets for business purposes that this Board is opposed to such use of the City streets, and that applications for such purposes will not be granted. Thereafter, a recess was declared until Tuesday the 8th day of January, 1929 at the hour of three o'clock, P. M. OFFICE OF THE CITY CLERK OF THE CITY OF LAS VEGAS CLARK COUNTY, NEVADA. January 8th, 1929. At a regular recessed meeting of the Board of City Commissioners of the City of Las Vegas, Clark County, Nevada, held on the 8th day of January, 1929, at the hour of three o'clock, P. M. PRESENT: His Honor the Mayor, J. F. Hesse, Commissioners W. B. Mundy, Roy Neagle, and O. J. Smith together with the City Attorney, Clerk and Engineer for the City. ABSENT: Commissioner W. C. German. Meeting called to order by the Mayor. A few claims against the City were allowed as shown by Claims and Warrants Register on file in the office of the Clerk. The Clerk then read to the Board a letter dated January 3, 1929, from Mr. A. P. Slocum, Engineer for the City, relative to certain claims for services performed in preparation of Special Assessment Roll No. 11, said work being performed by Mr. A. P. Slocum and Mrs. K. M. Slocum, the sum of Two Hundred Twenty-three Dollars ($223.00) being the total of such claims. After considerable discussion and upon the offer of Mr. Slocum to compromise and settle the combined claims for a total of Two Hundred Dollars ($200.00), it was ordered, upon motion duly made, seconded and carried, that the claim of A. P. Slocum be allowed in the amount of One Hundred Forty-Two Dollars ($142.00) and the claim of K. M. Slocum be allowed in the amount of Fifty-eight Dollars ($58.00), as and for payment in full for services rendered as described above. Thereafter, a recess was declared until the 17th day of January, 1929 at the hour of three o'clock, P. M. OFFICE OF THE CITY CLERK OF THE CITY OF LAS VEGAS CLARK COUNTY, NEVADA. January 17th, 1929. At a regular recessed meeting of the Board of City Commissioners of the City of Las Vegas, Clark County, Nevada, held on the 17th day of January, 1929, at the hour of three o'clock, P. M. PRESENT: His Honor, the Mayor, J. F. Hesse, Commissioners O. J. Smith, W. B. Mundy, together with the Attorney, Clerk and Engineer for the City. ABSENT: Commissioners Roy Neagle and W. C. German. Upon motion duly made, seconded and carried, it was ordered that this Board be in recess until Monday the 21st day of January, 1929, at the hour of three o'clock, P. M.
