    Las Vegas Pipe Line Los Angeles, June 29, 1925* —Deal’ LBdT I have your wire o f the 27th and your le tte r o f the same date rela tiv e to the above* Immediately upon receipt o f your wire I got in touch with Walter and he advised me he would instruct h is men to take out the barrier# across the r o a d * cussed the situation with Mr* EAmst in the Engineering Depart­ment, and i t w ill be en tirely satisfactory to proceed along the lin e s you Indicate* In other words, permit use of the section lin e road between Sections 52 and 33 u n til the pipe i s la id across the L,V, & T. grade, and then close the section lin e road. You better secure penalscion from the City Commissioners a t th eir meeting Thursday night to lay on top o f the ground a wooden pipe approximately fe e t higher than the top o f the present pipe lin e over and across the L*V. & T. grade, with per­mission to build a wooden tr e stle or cu lvert, i f necessary, over th is pipe lin e to protect same, and grade up the road to go over the top o f th is culvert making su fficien t approaches with lig h t grade and placing the road in as good condition as I t is at present.
