Checks and pledges turned into the office since the campaign opened last week total more than $39,000, with only half of the local firms contacted t6 date. Merchants and professional firms will be visited by a committee member engaged in the same type of work fdr a donation to this community exploitation program. A sampling of the first reports turned in reveal that James H. Down, Sr., received i00% co-operation from his division of automobiles—new car dealers and boat sales.
