Thorn Mr. William Reinhardt, Vice President Las Vegas Land and Water Company 422 West Sixth Street Los Angeles 14, California Dear Mr. Reinhardt: Mr. Campbell has requested that I reply to your letter of January 5, 1 9 5 5 , relative to leaving in a section of 14 inch transite main scheduled for removal under Agreement CLD 11342. The Board of Directors at their meeting of January 27, 1955, authorized compliance with your request that the line be kept in service, providing an easement is granted in a form which will protect the District against the future necessity of moving the line at District expense, in the event the grade of the proposed street should be materially different from the existing ground level. As mentioned in Mr. Montgomery’s letter of January 24, 1955, to Mr. R. L. Adamson, provision is being made at the connection to the main transmission line so that this line can be left in place. It will be appreciated if granting the easement can be expedited as much as possible, in order that the contractor can be given final instructions in time to avoid any delay in his operations. Yours very truly, W. C. Renshaw Chief Engineer & Manager WCR:mjb FEB 1 1955 L* C© CJe
