V Salt Lake City, March 30 , 1931 17-334 Mr* W* R* Armstrong: Tour mailgram March 21st regarding proposed water line to serve various industries in Industrial District Mo* 1 at Las Vegas* determined it will require 122* of 8”, 1263* of 6n and 815* of 4** Class 150 Precalked Joint Cast Iron Pipe, with the necessary gate valves, tees, elbows, etc* This 2200* of oast iron pipe line is estimated to oost $3210*00 investment account and $90*00 operating expense* suggestion that we relocate the present city water meter south easterly to a point just inside of our right of way line at the head of Clark Street and install a 16,tfcl6nx8"x8R cross just south of track ITo* 8* arrangement there are 3- 16" gate valves* In making the change as suggested it will necessitate the reconstruction of the concrete box of dimensions approximately 20* long by 8* wide and to maintain service in the pipe line while the relocation is being made would neoess itate the purchase of 2- 16” gate valves • It is estimated the entire job would oost #500*00* The 8” oast iron pipe line will serve as a connection between the 16n pipe line at the meter and the proposed line to the industrial district and can be installed for $220*00* It is therefore suggested that we do not oonsider relocating the present mater* Kindly advise if I shall submit pencil draft of form 30 to cover* Investigation has been made on the ground and it is In Mr* Adamson’s letter Maroh 23d, file 20-6-2 is The concrete meter box has a by-pass in it and in the cy - Mr* R* L* Adamson 8-1 W .
