Bear Mr. Burnette W© ax© in need of two new desks her© In the office to replace two which haw© been in servic© a good many year®, and I am writing you with the thought in mind that you may Know of some that axe ©tored in Omaha, possibly ©hipped in fro© other points on the System. The two we -now have in the office were taken from the original office of the Water Company in 1905, and hav© long since outlived their useful- naan* #h© typewriter desk particularly is badly scarred' on the top surface and is very loose at the ??foists, malting it difficult to operate the typewriter. The other la a flat top office desk, and also’show© considerable .signs of wear. Both of them are a brown mahogany color, clashing with the light colored surroundings of the office. 1© would like to secure, first, a light oak colored typewriter desk, the usual 50 inch®© high and with a top surface about 50 by 33 inches, with a solid desk surface, with a spring drop on left-hand ©id© for the typewriter to fit into the left-hand panel where ordinary desks have a row. of drawers, similar to those I have seen in various trainmaster*s office®. The other one we would like to have also in light oak color, 30 'inches high,. 1ft inches wide and either 56 or 60 inches long, with a row of drawers on left and right hand aides, so that we cap enclose a map of our city water mains under a glass on the surface, i f there is available a swivel office chair to match, it would also be very much appreciated.
