Perkins June 28, 1950 Under seperate cover, I am mailing you the latest installation guide in which you will find all information relative to fittings and service connections, points which you and Mr, Reinhkrt both mentioned. We are selling Transite Pipe regularly to the three largest municipalities in this area, namely Los Angeles, Long Beach and San Diego, and to many smaller ones as well. We are also selling Transite Pipe to all of the principal private' ly owned water companies such as Southern California Water Company, California Water Service, California Water and Telephone Company, Arizona Edison Company, as well as many smaller ones. All of these customers are using Transite regularly in their distribution systems and are following our recommendations relative to service connections. We feel that there is no better proof that they are pleased with their instal­lations than the fact that they are continuing to buy and are certainly regular users of our material. While we are not at present in need of orders, in fact quite the contrary, we do hope that we can be spared the embarrassment in the future of having our customers refused acceptance by the Las Vegas Land and Water Company on such installations as they may desire to make on their own properties, and we will certainly appreciate your checking into this and perhaps bringing about such a conclusion for us. 7ou mentioned the question of cost. On that point I can say that, judging by numerous bids on recent jobs, that the installed cost of Transite is somewhat less in practically all cases than cast iron. On the attached tabulation, I am giving you a partial list of purchasers, show­ing quantities purchased over a period of time to confirm the statements previous' ly made relative to regular and quantity usage.
