BCC: Mr. Wm. Reinhardt Mr. W.R. Rouse March 12, 1953 80-11 0*Melveny & Myers Title Insurance Building ^33 So, Spring Street Los Angeles, California ATTENTIONj Mr, James W. Beebe Bear Mr. Beebet In line with our telephone conversation relative to your firm representing the Las Vegas Valley Water District* I discussed the matter with Mr. Walter Rouse and he is agreeable to your firm representing the District in connection with legal questions arising out of the proposal by the Water District, our acceptance thereof, and the handling of all legal matters, preparation of documents and contracts, looking towards the final transfer of the property of the Water Company and the Railroads to the Water District. I think that will cover the present situation and in the event prospects of litigation should arise, we would again have to give the matter further consideration. Frankly, as you know, we have agreed upon the purchase price and we have agreed upon the terms of a contract covering the relocation of pipe lines, the granting of easements, temporary and permanent, for the installation of new pipe lines, and other practical details. I presume you have a copy of this tentative agreement. Mr, Renwiek In my office is now working on a draft of contract covering the final sale and transfer of properties and if you will advise me who in your office will be handling this matter, I will arrange to have Mr. Renwiek get in touch with him looking towards an early completion of all of the details. Very truly yours EEB:AFK E. E, Bennett
